pre-treatment spray

March 24, 2010 - 5:00am

One tip for getting out the toughest stains is to apply a pre-treatment product, like Spray 'n Wash or Oxiclean.  Let it soak in, then scrub out the stain with an old toothbrush.

Girls Don't Sweat! NOT.

March 24, 2010 - 7:52am

I'm ashamed to say that my biggest challenge is getting sweat and deodorant stains out of my workout tops. I've found that soaking them in a baking soda/water solution for several hours, then machine washing, then hanging them out to dry in the sunshine works best. It's not fabulous, but it does make it better.

cure for the toughest stain

March 24, 2010 - 8:15am

For my tough stains I use oxyclean powder, I soak the clothes in water and a cup of powder for about an hour and then I just throw the clothes in the washer machine and out the stain goes!

I am very interested in using this new detergent....

Stains

March 24, 2010 - 11:46pm

As a mother of two and an Army wife, I have yet to find a product that would competely remove stains from their very dirty clothes. I find myself wasting hours a week standing over a pair of ACU's or stained childrens' clothing with stain remover, laundry detergent, and a spoon. From my family, I discovered that if I mixed a little bit of detergent with about double the stain remover, applied it to the clothing, and scrubbed the stain with the edge of a spoon, most of the stains would come out of the clothes.

The only problem with this process is how time-consuming it can be. I need something simple and easy!
